Congratulations to Julie Berg

This post is for Julie who not only completed her 100 mile race this weekend but appears to have WON the race among the other women. Go Julie. Now I personally cannot imagine doing anything for 29 hours and 7 minutes, except perhaps sleeping, but she ran for over a full day. Wow! I am just in awe.

Edit: Julie updated her blog to post a full blown overview of her amazing achievement. What a story it is. Go read it now!

  1. Oh my goodness, thank you so much. It was something else, that is for sure. You take care of that knee now too. Rest her up until she’s ready to roll. She’ll be ready for you soon.

  2. Hey Julie
I’m glad you saw my post! It’s just amazing what you accomplished. What a winner you are! Thanks for thinking of my knee. I am doing a number of stregthening exercises for it (and less running, sigh). It’s starting to feel a bit better already. I definitely need to plan some rest & a massage into my schedule.

  3. Cathy,
I haven’t read the blogs in a long time. Good to see all of your running updates! Sorry to hear about the knees. I cut one day of running out of my week and I’m having better results and not so many arthritis pain related issues. I hope you’ll be okay for your half marathon. Rest up and I’m sure you’ll be good to go in no time!

  4. YOU DA WOMAN!!! Here’s 100 pats on the back, one for each mile, good things do come to those who least expect them. Now put in for Western States, you just qualified.
