The Experiential Learning Center (ELC) serves students, faculty, employers, and community partners as a resource for experiential learning opportunities. We offer information, resources and support in the development and coordination of academic internships and co-ops, service-learning courses, volunteer opportunities, and undergraduate research experiences.
Services:
- Academic credit internships (paid or unpaid)
- Non-credit co-op internships (paid by employer)
- Undergraduate research opportunities (including the annual Research and Creative Activities Symposium)
- Study abroad programs
Metro State College of Denver
The Internship Center: Internships, cooperative education, and service learning enhance the education of Metro State students by placing students in work experiences related to their academic major. The professional staff of The Internship Center works closely with students and employers to match the students' skills and theoretical training with positions in businesses, governmental agencies and non-profit organizations. The Internship Center also works directly with faculty to ensure that internships meet the educational needs of our students.
